If you've ever wanted to know what goes through a cartoonist's mind, you have the chance to find out today.

Stephan Pastis, an author in the Star Pavilion at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 9-10, will be on at 1 p.m. today.

Pastis is the author of comic strip "Pearls Before Swine," which features sweet, simple drawings and complex and edgy themes and topics. He has a children's book, "Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made."
