A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold at a long-time neighborhood market in South Tucson.

Terry Gee, owner of T & T Market, said state lottery officials told her someone claimed a winning ticket Thursday that had been sold at her store.

Gee said that while she did not know who the winner is, she believes it is someone from the area because her customers are mostly people who live near the store located on South Sixth Avenue near West 29th Street.

“It’s an amazing Christmas gift for them,” said Gee.
