Here’s a schedule of fun and patriotic things to do today to celebrate July Fourth:
“A” Mountain, Tucson Convention Center — 260 S. Church Ave. Events, entertainment, food and beer vendors and the Southern Arizona Mustang Club will be downtown at the Tucson Convention Center Parking Lot B, at South Granada Avenue between West Congress Street and West Cushing Street. Because of streetcar construction, best route to downtown is 22nd Street. Parking in lot at west 22nd Street and I-10, and the City/State Parking Garage at 498 W. Congress St., west of I-10. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. July 4.
Centennial Hall — 1020 E. University Blvd. Let Freedom Sing. Arts Express Choir and Orchestra perform patriotic pieces including “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Big Band Express and boogie-woogie blues pianist Arthur Migliazza will join. 3-4:30 p.m. $20 front of house seating. Crossroads at Silverbell Park — 7548 N. Silverbell Road, Marana. Star-Spangled Banner Spectacular. Food for sale and music. 6-10 p.m., with a concert by the Greg Spivey Band at 7. Fireworks at 9 p.m., weather permitting. July 4. 382-1946.
Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch — 5501 N. Hacienda del Sol Road. Red White and Brew July 4th Celebration. Barbecue-style food, live music by Hey Bucko. Reservations required. 5-9 p.m. $25; $12.50 for children 7-14 years old; free for 6 and under. 529-3500.
Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort — Event will be at the resort at 10000 N. Oracle Road, Oro Valley. July 4th Stars and Stripes Classic BBQ. Live music includes Kaci Bays and Ken Martinson, and country singer Marnie Chastain. Buffet-style barbecue includes baby back ribs, green chili pork, hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken, veggie burgers and tamales. Kino North Stadium — 2817 E. Ajo Way. FC Tucson 4th of July Blast. Fireworks after match against Albuquerque Sol FC. Match begins at 7:30 p.m., Fireworks scheduled to begin roughly 30 minutes after game concludes. 7:30-10 p.m. $10. 334-1115.
