A 32-year-old man has died after a car and an SUV crashed Saturday evening on Tucson's east side, police said.

The man was driving one of the vehicles that collided near the intersection of Broadway and Pantano shortly before 7:30 p.m., and died later of his injuries after being taken to a hospital. His name was not immediately released.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 47-year-old woman, had minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital, police said.

The crash was on Broadway at Sherwood Village Drive. Broadway westbound from Maguire Avenue to Pantano will remained closed for 3 to 4 more hours, police said at 9 p.m..

No other information was immediately released.
