A shooting in the 1500 block of east Prince Road, west of North Campbell Avenue, left one man dead early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Tucson Police Department.

Officers responded to a shooting report at about 4:30 a.m. The woman who called it in said multiple rounds were being fired within a home that she shared with her brother.

Officers arrived to find the woman's brother, 31-year-old Jose Hurtado dead inside the home with obvious signs of gunshot trauma, the release said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, who was upstairs at the time, told detectives that she heard the gunshots coming from downstairs. The shooter then went upstairs and fired through her bedroom door to gain entry. She was able to escape through the window unharmed.

Detectives identified the shooter as 35-year-old Jesus Harmon, the woman's estranged husband, the release said. He was located and arrested a short time later at a residence in Oro Valley.

Harmon was booked on suspicion of first degree murder, first degree burglary, attempted first degree murder, kidnapping and being on a prohibited possessor charge.
