A man fell over the side of a Mount Lemmon vista Wednesday afternoon, dropping 20 to 30 feet, a Pima County sheriff's spokesman said.

The spokesman, Deputy Tracy Suitt, said he heard that the man is 78 years old and fell at Milepost 20 on the Catalina Highway.

Fire and sheriff's personnel rescued him and he was taken by ambulance to a Tucson hospital. The extent of his injuries isn't known, Suitt said.
