The body of a man was discovered late Friday afternoon on the far southwest side, authorities said.
The body was found about a half-hour before sunset, wrapped in fabric. He appeared to have died under suspicious circumstances, said Deputy Thomas Peine, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
Sheriff’s deputies were led to the body by a woman whose dog had come across it while she was walking her child and the dog west of Ryan Field, Peine said.
The body was found near the intersection of Ajo Way and Postvale Road, about four miles west of Ryan Field, Peine said.
He said the man hadn’t been identified.
It appeared the body had been there a few hours if not longer, Peine said.
