Nearly 5,200 pounds of marijuana and three vehicles were seized by border officers in Southern Arizona.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents were working Sunday in a remote area near Naco when detection technology alerted them. They discovered three abandoned vehicles, federal authorities say.

Inside the vehicles, agents found a combined 334 bundles of marijuana with an estimated value of about $2.6 million.

The vehicles were seized and the drugs turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
