Permit Prep 101 aims to help new drivers

Teens getting their driver's permit can learn the rules of the road at the Permit Prep 101 workshop from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Himmel Park Branch Library, 1035 N. Treat Ave.

The free 90-minute workshop covers details about the graduated driver's license and resources available to new drivers.

To register, email participant's name, a phone number and an email address to vvinyard@arizona.aaa.com or call 258-0518.

Donate new books for kids reading effort

Support childhood literacy by donating new books during the Give the Gift of Reading book drive through April 30.

The goal is to provide each member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson with a book for summer reading.

Drop-off locations include the University of Phoenix campus, 300 S. Craycroft Road, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson's Frank & Edith Morton Clubhouse, 3155 E. Grant Road.
