No surprise here – Tucson summers are a smidge toasty.

As the dog days of August drag on, the thought of an afternoon spent toiling in front of the stove can be less than appetizing.

We turned to revered local foodies for their favorite recipes that require absolutely no cooking.

Kind enough to share were Justin Cline Macy, executive chef at the world-renowned Miraval Resort & Spa and contributing author of the Miraval Mindful Eating Cookbook; Carlotta Flores, executive chef at El Charro Café, the oldest, continuously family-owned-and-operated Mexican restaurant in the United States; and Brian Metzger, owner of the hip and delish Metzger Family Restaurants, which include Jax Kitchen, The Abbey and the soon-to-come Gio Taco.
