Dogs from the Pima Animal Care Center are going on a road trip Saturday. Adoptable dogs will be at Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cats won’t be at the event as they don’t travel as well as dogs, according to the animal shelter, but there are plenty at the shelter to choose from.

Through the end of the year, shelter animals — no matter their breed or size, or if they’re adults or puppies or kittens — will be $60. That includes licensing fees for dogs, as well as vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery if needed.

If a pet has been at the shelter longer than two weeks, it’s free to adopt.

If you’re interested in volunteering, fostering or adopting, check out the Pima Animal Care Center page on Facebook: www.facebook.com/PimaAnimalCare?fref=ts

The county-run shelter is open seven days a week — noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month, when it closed for deep cleaning.
