Through Saturday, the Pima Animal Care Center is hosting a $9 adoption special, so all dogs, cats, puppies and kittens have a $9 adoption fee.

As always, pets who’ve been at the shelter for more than two weeks and special-needs pets have no adoption fees. A $15 license fee applies to dogs.

The county-run shelter, at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is open seven days a week — noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month, when it is closed for deep cleaning.

If you’re interested in volunteering, fostering or adopting, check out the Pima Animal Care Center page on Facebook: http://tinyurl.com/paccpets
