Pima Animal Care Center’s adoption fee for August is $30, and every adopter will get a chance to win an extra adoption discount.

All pets who’ve been waiting at the shelter for more than two weeks have no adoption fee, and every Friday is Free Cat Friday, which means all the cats and kittens have no adoption fee all day long.

The county-run shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is open seven days a week — noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month, when it is closed for deep cleaning.

All the pets featured here have been spayed or neutered and have had their shots.

Be sure to take the pet ID number listed with the animal if you go to PACC to see a particular cat or dog.

Ask about reduced adoption prices on certain pets.
