Pima Animal Care Center, at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is holding its first-ever “tent sale.” The shelter and its adjacent tent are over capacity, with 529 dogs and puppies as of Monday.

There will be no adoption fees for pets in the tent all week, and on Mother’s Day, Sunday, every animal in the entire shelter will be free. For adult dogs, a $15 licensing fee still applies.

The county-run shelter is open seven days a week — noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month, when it is closed for deep cleaning.
