On Sunday, St. Mark's United Methodist will hold a second annual ceremony for people who've lost a pet.

St. Mark's United Methodist Church, at 1431 W. Magee Road, is hosting a pet memorial service at 3 p.m. March 10 — not March 3, as reported in today's Northwest Star.

The service "will be a time to acknowledge and respect the importance animals have held in our hearts and lives," according to the church.

Participants of any age are welcome, and the Rev. Sharon Ragland will include a time with children.

People who would like their pet's picture to appear in a video montage during the service can email it to info@umcstmarks.org by March 8. They can also take a snapshot to the church office, where it can be scanned and returned.

The service is free, and there will be free refreshments afterwards.

For more information, call the church at 297-2062.
