Explore the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator and the rare P-51C Mustang inside and out during the Wings of Freedom Tour at the Marana Regional Airport, 11700 W. Avra Valley Road. Combat veterans and docents will be available to answer questions. Flights on any aircraft can be reserved in advance. 3. April 5

Attendees will create a band of terra cotta soldiers — “An Army of Peaceful Warriors” — to stand in a field facing the Catalina Mountains. No experience is necessary. The event, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., will be at the Wilson Barn Clay Co-op, 2436 W. Linda Vista Road, Oracle. It’s $60 to participate and free to observe, and there’ll be live music and demonstrations.

More than 80 vendors and 50 local restaurants, breweries and wineries are expected at the Viva La Local Food Festival at Rillito Downs Park, 4502 N. First Ave. Markets open at 9 a.m. and the main event is at 11 a.m. Free admission; $5 parking. Presented by Heirloom Farmers Markets.
