1. May 4

The Foothills Phil Spring Concert is 2-4 p.m. at Catalina Foothills High School, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. The all-volunteer, intergenerational, not-for-profit orchestra is directed by László Veres. Tickets are available at the door only. Cost is $10 adults; $5 for children 12 and younger. 209-7551.

2. May 4 and 5

A Cinco de Mayo Weekend Fiesta at Pinnacle Peak and Trail Dust Town, 6541 E. Tanque Verde Road, will include a piñata party, entertainment by the youth mariachi group Los Changuitos Feos, Ballet Folklorico Tapatio and trick roper Loop Rawlins, and stunt shows. 3. May 6

The first of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild’s WOW (Watch Our Walls) summer arts shows kicks off at the SAWG Gallery, 5605 E. River Road. Featuring a variety of local work from jewelry to sculpture and paintings. The show runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays through June 1. Free. 299-7294.

4. May 13

Tuesday Art Talks continue the second Tuesday of the month at the Dusenberry-River Library, 5605 E. River Road. Presented by docents of the University of Arizona Museum of Art. This month: “Not Just Chalk: The Brilliant Art of Pastel,” presented by Tammy Bearden. 2-3 p.m. Free. 594-5345.
