Oro Valley Hospital recently became a pediatric prepared emergency care certified hospital by the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
That means Oro Valley Hospital’s emergency room meets specific criteria, including personnel training, equipment and facilities to provide emergency care for pediatric patients. The hospital staff can stabilize a child for transfer to a facility that offers more specialized pediatric care if necessary.
To receive the certification, OVH met specific criteria for personnel training, equipment and facilities that support optimal care for ill or injured infants, children and teens.
