A room in the U.S. Capitol was dedicated today to honor Gabriel “Gabe” Zimmerman, an aide to former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was killed in the January 2011 shootings in Tucson.

The 30-year-old Zimmerman was Giffords’ outreach director. He was among the six killed in the shooting rampage on the northwest side.

A bronze plaque of Zimmerman was unveiled as part of the room dedication ceremony.
