The Arizona Rosary Celebration will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave., Saturday at 10 a.m.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the annual event, which is happening for the first time in Tucson this year.

The event will begin with the bishop's procession that will be led by the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard, the Columbian Squires escorting the Silver Rose and altar servers from several parishes. The diocesan choir will perform.

The rosary celebration is just one of the big events scheduled for downtown this weekend and several streets will be closed to accommodate them.

Those headed downtown should expect traffic congestion.
