A man on the northwest side was bitten by a rattlesnake while working in his yard, Northwest Fire reports.

Just before 3:30 p.m., Northwest firefighters were called to a home in the Camino del Cerro and Camino de Oeste area for a snake bite.

A 30-year-old man was bitten while in his yard. He was treated at the scene and taken to Northwest Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known.
