A number of street closures and lane restrictions in downtown Tucson could snarl traffic Sunday. Here's what you need to know.
• Broadway will be down to one lane between Granada and Stone avenues for streetcar work.
• Granada Avenue is closed at St. Mary's Road for construction work.
• Cyclovia Tucson, a car-free street party, is happening 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Street closures begin at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Fourth Avenue will be closed to cars between 13th and 34th streets, and Eighth Avenue will be closed to cars between 14th and 38th streets.
Additional closures will be 34th Street between Fourth and Eighth avenues, Convent Avenue between 18th and Cushing streets, Cushing Street between Convent and Scott avenues, Scott Avenue between Broadway and Cushing/14th Street, and 13th Street between Scott and Fourth avenues.
Use Sixth, Stone or Euclid avenue as an alternative route, but be on the lookout for bicyclists and pedestrians around the event area.
All streets should reopen by around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
• Traffic on 22nd Street will be down to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday around the Kino Boulevard construction site.
Eastbound drivers won't be able to turn north onto Kino. Use Park Avenue as an alternative route.
