A flash flood warning is in effect for Tucson and Green Valley until 3:30 p.m today as a line of storms moves up from the south. Heavy rain is falling in parts of Tucson, mainly on the south and southeast sides.
Some streets are reported as being flooded and there are reports of power poles down, including in the area of South Campbell and East Valencia Road.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued this afternoon south of Tucson, especially over Green Valley.
A radar image from the National Weather Service this afternoon showed storms all across eastern Pima County, including the Tucson metro area.
Storm activity was also prevalent in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties.
