Pantano Baptist Church will celebrate the fourth anniversary of its country/gospel worship services at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

"Four years ago we tried something different — worship blending the sounds of gospel-style piano, rhythm guitar, soft drums and old-time gospel songs to create a church experience unique to Tucson," the Rev. Glen Foster wrote in an email.

"Of course, there's also Bible-based, soul searching, make-you-think preaching. Apparently we hit a niche. People came. Attendance has steadily grown. It's a down-home atmosphere where all are welcome."

Everyone is invited to the service "this Sunday and every Sunday," Foster said. The church is at 225 S. Pantano Road. It also offers traditional workshop services at 11 a.m.
