Two local high school seniors took first place honors in the Art Institute of Tucson's Passion for Fashion Competition.

Emorie Daniel, a senior at Pueblo High Magnet School, took first place in the marketing and merchandising and retail management category, while Sonoran Science Academy senior Blue Hazel took the top honor in the fashion design category.

The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition gives high school seniors the opportunity to use their flair for fashion and eye for style to earn tuition scholarships.

Both Daniel and Hazel received $3,000 tuition scholarships to student in a fashion program at The Art Institute of Tucson. They will progress to the national round of The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition.
