Saddle bronc rider Wade Vos found the hard way to take leave of his mount during the second day of La Fiesta de los Vaqueros rodeo in this Feb. 26, 1988, photo. Vos lifted on the rein and tried to find a rhythm with the animal by spurring forward with his feet. These horses are bred and trained to buck high. Riders are judged on style and their ability to sit through the bucks.
