New health-care law focus of meeting today

The public is invited to an informational meeting on the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today at St. Mark’s Church, 3809 E. Third St.

The meeting will be led by Organizing for Action and will include Clinton Kuntz, CEO of Marana Health Center Healthcare, who will discuss the Affordable Care Act’s benefits to community health centers, and the health system in general.

Immigration panel
scheduled for Sunday

Santa Catalina Catholic Church invites the public to a meeting on immigration and migrant issues from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the parish hall at 14380 N. Oracle Road.

The panelists will include the Rev. Bill Remmel; the Rev. John Fife; the Rev. Sean Carroll; and Jessica Garcia and Matt Matera, both of Scholarships A-Z, a Tucson organization providing access to education regardless of immigration status.
