The theme of the 94th annual Tucson Veterans Day Parade is honoring veterans home and away, event organizers say.

More than 60 entrants, including floats and many veterans organizations and groups, will be part of the parade.

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Monday at North Granada Avenue and West Alameda Street. The route heads east on Alameda Street, north on Church Avenue, west on Sixth Street and south on Granada, ending at West Franklin Street.

For information:

From 8 a.m. until about 1 p.m. Monday, Alameda between Manning House Way and Church will be closed.

Also closed will be Church between Pennington Street and Sixth Street/St. Mary’s Road; Sixth/St. Mary’s between Stone Avenue and Granada; Franklin between Stone and Church; and Granada between Congress and Sixth/St. Mary’s.

Motorists in the downtown area may experience traffic delays associated with this event and several street improvement projects.
