The video opens with a shot of downtown Tucson and a voiceover that says: "This. Is the frontier."

A video uploaded to YouTube and made by Sparc Interactive, Maker House, ArtFire and other local businesses involved in the Downtown Interactive District is selling Tucson as a place where innovative car manufacturer Tesla Motors Inc. should come settle down.

As we reported in March, Tucson has made a formal proposal to become the home of a $5 billion “gigafactory” for lithium-ion batteries for Tesla's electric cars.

The video voiceover says:

"It is our heritage to do for ourselves, to move forward without seeking approval or support of the world. We support our neighbors, challenge each other to be better, disrupt the norm, create art, make music and dance in the monsoon rain because it is our nature.

We know that if you are a pioneer, you belong here. Welcome to the new frontier."
