A 12-inch water main break is causing traffic disruptions at the intersection of North Swan Road and East Camp Lowell Drive. Motorists are being advised to avoid the intersection for the next six hours, Tucson Water officials said.

The following restrictions are in place:

Southbound Swan from Camp Lowell to Fort Lowell is closed.

Southbound Swan traffic is being diverted west or east onto Camp Lowell.

Northbound Swan traffic may not turn west on Camp Lowell.

Eastbound traffic on Camp Lowell is being diverted to Old Fort Lowell Road.

The water-line damage was caused by a contractor working in the area.

Tucson Water service was restored to the area shortly after the break. Utility crews will flush water lines in adjacent neighborhoods when the repairs are done to clear the lines of debris.
