Crews are battling a 100-acre wildfire that started this afternoon near Sonoita.
The fire started just after noon and is burning south of the Empire Mountains, said David Geyer, a fire management officer with the Arizona State Land Department.
The fire is moving slowly through light grass and is not threatening any structures, Geyer said.
Crews from the U.S. Forest Service, Sonoita/Elgin Fire Department, Rincon Valley and Corona de Tucson fire districts are working to control the blaze.
