I am a high school student who attended an environmental boot camp at the University of Arizona. One site that we visited that actually stuck with me was a wildcat dumping site located near Oracle and Miracle Mile. This dumping site is quite tragic: there is glass, trash, mattresses, needles and feces everywhere. Across from the dumping site are apartments, and a couple blocks from the site is a school. It’s especially dangerous for children who walk in that area to get home from school.
I would like the Tucson City Council to do something to clean up this area. One idea is to promote community involvement to clean up and take pride in their neighborhoods. I’d like to call it Project Wildcat.
