FOX NEWS darling Cal Thomas in his recent guest column counsels Donald Trump to soften his toxic demeanor so as to lubricate the progress of his business-friendly agenda. He points to the potential gains by the coal industry and profits for Trump's corporate greedsters by degrading "expensive regulations" (OSHA, EPA, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Dodd-Frank, etc.) He suggests Trump could minimize the mockery engendered by his staff's conflicting explanations of his havoc by following Glen Campbell's advise to "Try a Little Kindness." He could follow Calvin Coolidge's example and fire his spokesmen. These types of Public Relations schemes sometimes referred to as "putting lipstick on a pig." It doesn't get any prettier, and it annoys the pig. Alternatively, let me suggest that reality TV star Trump cancel his sitcom to make room for a mid-season replacement. Anything would be more watchable.
