Star environmental reporter Tony Davis will live-blog a presentation Monday night on a book criticizing the border wall and a discussion on the "Gang of Eight" immigration bill now being considered in Congress.

Author Krista Schlyer will read from and talk about her new book, "Continental Divide: Wildlife, People and the Border Wall," and about the environmental impacts of new border fencing being proposed in the pending immigration bill. Her presentation is sponsored by the Sierra Club and Sky Island Alliance.

If you want to attend the talk by Schlyer, a former Tucsonan now living in Washington, D.C., it runs from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Historic Y Courtyard, 738 N. Fifth Ave. Organizers are requesting a $5 donation.
