PHOENIX — A Phoenix nurse and mother of four was found dead early Monday morning, the victim of what police say appears to be a terrible accident.

Police say 33-year-old Mandy Brooks was found under her car in the middle of the street in an area of west Phoenix around 3 a.m.

Police Sgt. Trent Crump says detectives are still treating it as a “death unknown,” but that initial information leads them to believe that she was run over by her own vehicle in a “very unusual” accident.

The investigation is ongoing.

Brooks leaves behind four children from ages 5 to 14.
