Authorities reopened Interstate 10 in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico at about 8 p.m. Saturday, after weather delays.

Earlier Saturday, New Mexico closed both directions of I-10 from Las Cruces, N.M., to the Arizona-New Mexico state line, a distance of about 130 miles, because of high winds and low visibility. So travelers were not stopped in their vehicles on the interstate in Arizona, ADOT then closed eastbound travel on I-10 about 15 miles east of Willcox.

For the most current information about highway closures and restrictions statewide, visit ADOT’s Travel Information Site at www.az511.gov or call 5-1-1. For more information on traffic restrictions in New Mexico, visit NMRoads.com.
