Re: the Nov. 11 letter to the editor "New ideas for holiday charitable donations."
When I read this letter I was a bit angered by it. It is commendable that Vern Pall donated the turkeys to the Salvation Army but to insult the staff who accepted the turkeys at the acceptance center is asinine, and to criticize the non-profit for not saying thanks or putting their names down on a donation list is also irritating. I was always taught that when you do a chartable act you should do so with the kindness of your heart and not except accolades. Hopefully this won't cause people not to donate to the salvation because this isolated incident.
