Most of us like to do our part recycling; however, recycling centers still receive too many items that SHOULD NOT be in recycling bins. A few reminders: NO PLASTIC BAGS or bubble wrap. They jam-up sorting equipment. (Exception: put shredded paper in CLEAR plastic bags.) NO STYROFOAM. That includes packing peanuts, food containers, egg cartons, packaging blocks, etc. NO yard waste, food waste, scrap metal, electronics, construction debris (wood, concrete, tile), textiles, etc. NO tissue or paper towels. And, PLEASE do your best to empty and rinse all food containers. Food debris and oils contaminate the end recycled product.
