Re: the Nov. 14 article "Coronado Forest seeks input on picnic, camping fee hikes."

The topic of fees in my mind is secondary to local campgrounds being taken over by RVs and campers setting up shop for the maximum duration of stay and essentially turning these places into RV parks, leaving few opportunities for those who would like to use the campground the way it was originally intended.

I find it annoying that Madera Canyon — along with other national park campgrounds, I'm sure — are being taken over increasingly by this group of squatters taking advantage of overly generous campground restrictions. I know my criticism will upset these people, but believe the National Park Service needs to update campground restrictions and not allow them to turn into RV Parks.
