Your article on the evolution of Tucson International Airport airport and the air carrier chronology that ensued was informative and certainly a memory jogger for many of your readers. However, there appeared to be an oversight in missing carrier introductions between 1963 and 1984.
United Airlines, the industry's largest carrier at the time, was not identified as a competitive introduction in 1980. Soon after service began growth continued, including the first and only round trip, nonstop service to the nation's capital. I managed the introduction as United's GM and have been a Tucson retiree since 2010. Keep up the good work on reporting the growth of our vital future air service.
