Re: the Nov. 29 column "$48,000 Grijalva settlement raises accountability issues."

As a taxpayer, I am sick and tired of the representatives we elect and send to Congress to fulfill their duties and run the business of our country acting like they have the “power” to do whatever they like, no matter the consequences. Rep. Raúl Grijalva used taxpayer funds to pay for his misconduct. He seems to think as long as the funds do not come from the Office of Compliance, that it is his money from the committee operating budget, a committee which he oversees.

Wrong. It is not. It is OUR money. Rep. Grivalja works for us and he is accountable to us. He should resign. Voters should not have to wait to vote you out of office. Also, there should be some provision, that if a Congressman resigns due to misconduct of any kind, that Congressman will NOT get a pension for life. That is a travesty upon a travesty.
