The AZ Star publishes editorials by nationally syndicated columnist Jonah Goldberg, as he is supposed to be a conservative. He in fact is a "never Trumper", and always has been. Pres. Trump had a pretty good first year in office, having achieved many conservative agenda items. But in Goldberg's December 28 piece titled "2017 was a pretty good year for Trump", he totally dismisses any credit going to Trump, and heaps it onto the Republican establishment in D.C.

I think that the AZ Star is being coy in their use of Goldberg in an attempt to show balance in their Democrat biased Editorial page. Goldberg is an establishment "conservative", who has continually criticized Pres. Trump. THAT is why the AZ Star publishes his opinions. There are other nationally syndicated conservative opinion writers who support Pres. Trump, but the Star chooses not to publish them. Why is that?
