H.R. 3990 is a nasty piece of legislation that could be up for a House vote before the end of the year. Introduced by Rob Bishop (R-Utah) and co-sponsored by Paul Gosar (R-AZ-4), it is an obvious attempt to gut the Antiquities Act and steal public lands. Special interests like mining and big oil are giddy with excitement at the thought of ripping up monuments, leaving the land polluted and spoiled, and then walking away with their millions.

Rep. Tom O’Halleran (CD1) has a record of protecting public lands, so we can count on his no vote on this ironically named “National Monument Creation and Protection Act.” How does Martha McSally (CD2) stand on this? Her record indicates she will vote with Trump and his supporters to sell our public lands. I urge you to contact her office. Don’t delay. All public lands could be at risk.
