As usual, Trump is spreading false news and disinformation when he says "public lands will once again be for public use" in announcing that he is scaling back two national monuments in Utah. As national monuments they ARE reserved for public use by every citizen of the USA. Trump's action, contrary to his statement, will allow these national treasures to be exploited by privately-owned coal and gas companies which will result in the lands NOT being there for public use.

These lands are and always have been federally owned property belonging to everyone who is a citizen of the USA. They are not the personal property of the state of Utah and its business interests to exploit for personal profit.
