White House Spokesperson Sarah Huckabee-Sanders said, "The average American family would get a $4,000 raise under the President’s tax cut plan."
If you can, with her statement in mind, watch "A Christmas Carol" and decide for yourself which character represents the "average American family" and which represents the business owners deciding whether or not to raise wages. Do you know of anyone like Bob Cratchit and Scrooge? Maybe you have felt like Cratchit one time or another, working for your own version of Scrooge.
I know I have, so I can tell the White House that there are definitely a bunch of Scrooges out there. What I'm getting from the White House is that there are also lots of friendly ghosts that will make all these Scrooges generous enough to feed the poor, provide employees with healthcare for their families and give them that big $4,000 raise.
Which should we believe in: our experiences, or ghosts?
