Re: the Dec. 20 article "'We continue to worsen': Well into school year, about 2,000 Arizona teaching jobs are unfilled."
After reading the article on Arizona unable to fill teaching positions due to almost the lowest salaries in the nation. It makes me think of the Vail “tiny houses“ article from a few weeks ago. When I lived in Phoenix in the early 1970s you could still see “tiny houses” throughout the valley, only at that time they were called migrant housing. Shame on Vail for not building real houses or a nice apartment building for the teachers who they want to work longer hours by becoming involved in after school activities.
