Arizona Cactus Ranch is located on forty square miles of desert near Green Valley in Southern Arizona, and is surrounded by Engelmann Prickly Pear Cactus. Every August and September, fruit buds from the cactus are harvested to produce a slightly sweet tasting juice that's 100% pure, concentrated prickly pear nectar with no water, and sugar or preservatives added. There has been a great deal of medical interest in Prickly Pear recently.
PRICKLY PEAR PROCESS
Arizona Cactus Ranch differs in the processing of prickly pear from other producers.
1. We do not cook or soak the fruit in water.
2. We wildcraft (hand-picked) the prickly pear fruit from pristine, natural land above the mines,     without chemicals in southern Arizona.
3. The fruit is washed and then put it in a machine that processes the fruit producing 100%     prickly pear juice and pulp without water.
4. We never add sugar to our concentrated prickly pear juice and pulp product.
