Robert Villalobos, 26, of Superior, was arrested in connection to the shooting of a 40-year-old acquaintance Oct. 26, 2013. He was booked into the Pinal County jail on one count each of armed robbery, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft and an outstanding parole violation; and three counts of aggravated assault. Villalobos is suspected of robbing the man days before and warning him to leave town, before he shot the victim, stole his truck and left it to burn in the desert. Villalobos had just been released from prison at the end of August after serving four years for auto theft. During his four years in prison, he was disciplined for possessing drug paraphernalia, assaulting another inmate and arson, among other infractions, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections website.
