PHOENIX — In a case with statewide implications, a lawyer for the city of Phoenix argued to the Court of Appeals Tuesday that governments can decide to allow ads for condoms and contraceptives on bus shelters and benches, while denying access to candidates or controversial causes.
This bus bench, a replica of the rear of a 1956 Chevy near East Broadway and Fourth Avenue, is white with blue trim with whitewall tires. The canopy resembles a cloud; four cherubs appear to be holding it up.
Why is it that TUSD is a place where efforts to improve the
district somehow make it worse? No, I'm not talking about Mark
Stegeman. This is about last week's bus debacle, which left
thousands of students stranded across the city.
