El Paso Natural Gas Co. has filed a lawsuit against Marana farming magnate and Town Councilman Herb Kai in Pima County Superior Court, alleging its gas line under his property was busted by a plow, causing damage to the company.
On behalf of DKL Holdings Inc. - the company petitioning to
build a landfill on property recently annexed into Marana - The
Planning Center is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
July 8 in the conference center of the Marana Municipal Complex,
11555 W. Civic Center Drive.
A truck drives out of the county-run Tangerine Landfill last week. Marana is moving to annex some of vice mayor Herb Kai's land, which Kai plans to sell to a company that will build a landfill on it. The county has said it would close the Tangerine Landfill in mid-2009, but it remains open.
